Aditi Lonkar born in Kolhapur, Maharashtra state, India began learning music in childhood under the guidance of her mother Late Smt. Vijaya Dongarkar, who was very good singer and teaching bhajan- classes in Mumbai.

She has participated in many light music competitions in School, College and at job while working in India.

She has a passion for music– classical, semi classical and light music such as abhangs, bhajans, Natya Sangeet, Hindi film Sangeet etc. Aditi also has passion for writing articles on various topics.

In 1990 Aditi came to US with her husband and had been active since then in numerous social activities for Marathi community, Chinmaya Mission, India International School, Fairfax county public schools and Northern Virginia religion interfaith community.
