About the artists

Anirudh Srinivasraghavan is a NYC based Indian classical vocalist.

An IIT Bombay and IIM Calcutta graduate, Anirudh was initiated into classical music at a very young age by his mother, Bharatanatyam exponent Smt. Revathi Srinivasraghavan. He started his early training under Shri. Suplav Saha, Shri. Ashok Surve and Shri Pramod Prabhune.

He has been training under the tutelage of leading vocalist Pt. Dr. Ram Deshpande for over 20 years. For over 12 years, he learnt solo Harmonium under the guidance of world renowned eminent Sitarist Pt. Ravi Chary.

Anirudh specializes in the classical music of the Gwalior Gharana, and has strong influences from Agra Gharana as well. He blends his classical music repertoire with a wide variety of semi-classical genres across multiple languages.

Anirudh has been honored with the titles “National Sangeet Shiromani” at the Cuttack

Mahotsav and “Sangeet Sandipani Ratna” by Patel Cultural Foundation.
He was a recipient of the National Scholarship for Classical Music by CCRT, Ministry of Culture, Indian Government for 9 years from 2001 to 2009. He represented India as 1 among 10 candidates at the International Cultural Exchange Programme held at Mongolia for classical vocal and harmonium.

Anirudh has rendered multiple performances nationally and internationally.

Shri Shreyas Ravi

Shreyas Ravi is a senior disciple notable sitarist Pt. Ravi Chary. He has given numerous Harmonium Solo & Duet performances across India & USA. He has been a recipient of the prestigious Pt. Vishu Digambar Paluskar Award & Pt. Omkarnath Thakur Award. Along with a thoughtful and robust solo, he as also been regularly accompanying vocal and tabla artists on the harmonium. Some of the notable ones include:

  1. Pt. Anindo Chatterjee
  2. Vidushi Aarti Ankalikar Tikekar

He has also composed and arranged classical and light music and ensembles and most recently composed origial music score for a marathi one act play "Pradakshina" which was widely appreciated.

He has taken tremendous efforts in balancing his academic career and harmonium training. After completing his MBA, currently he has been working as a management consulting in the US. He currently also teaches harmonium at India International School in Chantilly Virginia.

Suresh Ramaswamy

Suresh Ramaswamy was initiated into tabla by Shri.Nishikant Barodekar of the Punjab Gharana and is currently under the guidance of Pandit .Kiran Deshpande the eminent farrukhabad gharana maestro.

Suresh brings his understanding of Hindustani classical music into providing sangat in a way that provides comfort to the main artiste and enhances the concert. 

He has provided tabla sangat for many eminent musicians - vocal and instrumental - in India , United States and Canada since 2000.
